I had great expectation for this sander but the included vacuum adapter was the RS007 for a 19mm hose, not the RS006 adapter for American sized hoses. The Bosch web site says the RS006 adapter is included but it's not in the package. The I'm not going to order the adapter (at extra cost), so it's going back.
The sander is just as expected and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. The vendor was very cooperative and the sander arrived even earlier than expected. I would definitely order again from this vendor through Amazon. My husband won't get a lot of use from this sander until we get some warmer weather, but he enjoys it very much already.
It tends to leave a lot of swirl marks in my projects, even after going through 100 grit, then 150 grit sandpapers. I bought this sander about 3 years ago mostly for general purpose stuff around the house. As I started to get more into furniture making and wanting finer finishes, I found that this sander did not produce as good a result as I had expected. Maybe its just my technique, but I think I will look for something a little better at being a "random orbit" that does not leave the swirl marks. Still, I plan on keeping with the Bosch brand as I have been happy with my table saw, circular saw, and even this little sander for the most part.
Go with another brand with the basic sheet holding design, its proven. The guys that reviewed this thing well have only had it a short while.
Mine was not defective it is flawed in design. This sander WILL fail to hold paper with in 3 to 5 months with medium use.
Bosch discontinued it along with the bottom pad assembly. The sheetlock system is only slightly faster and not worth the trouble of failure.
The horrible thing is if you want to just keep replacing the assembly you cant. All the bad reviews have used it for a few months.

This little workhorse will serve you well. I got an office supply puncher, and I use that on the sandpaper sheet before I put in on the sander. I've had no problems with the sheet holder, and I love the design.
I couldn't be happier. It's my go to sander. I picked up my Bosch to replace a Skil unit that failed after 20 minutes.
PROS: This thing is SOLID. Everything about this is quality. Abundant power, EASY sheet changes, quality canvas carrying case, the dust control works well, and empties easily.
CONS: Hole-punch template is weak.
